Coach Tosan Bob Blankson of Delta Queens FC has revealed the team’s determination to confront former Champions Bayelsa Queens in an upcoming match.
As the Pearls gear up for MD 4 of the NWFL 23/24 season, Coach Blankson emphasizes that his team has moved past the memory of their first win in Matchday Three, now fully prepared to tackle the forthcoming challenge with unwavering commitment.
Acknowledging the upcoming clash as a significant test for the Asaba-based side, Coach Blankson expresses confidence in his team’s ability to secure a positive outcome during the away encounter against the formidable Bayelsa Queens.
“We look forward to another very tough week in the league.” Bayelsa Queens have always been a strong contender and familiar foe to us,” he notes.
Remaining steadfast and focused, Blankson emphasizes their dedication to maintaining a positive mindset, understanding the inherent difficulties in clashes between two former champions.
Highlighting their previous achievements, Delta Queens secured a 2-1 victory over Bayelsa Queens last season during an away game, followed by a comeback win in the super six finals, ending with the same scoreline.
In Matchday 3, Delta Queens clinched their first win of the season, defeating Rivers Angels 2-0 after earlier drawing with Ekiti Queens and Remo Stars Ladies in Matchday One and Two, respectively.
“Nothing is new, we are focused and remain committed to staying positive knowing it’s not always easy each time both Champions meet,” the Delta Queens Coach concluded.
