Victor Boniface was the star of the day, banging in a brace to help Bayer Leverkusen to earn a 4-1 win against Heidenheim in Bundesliga.

The rising star is already enjoying an early life in the Germany league, with his two goals coming in the first and second half of the encounter.

In Serie A, Victor Osimhen will not be a happy man after missing an important penalty that could have handed Napoli victory over Bologna.

In Sweden, Abel Ogwuche provided two assists while Henry Offia scored his 5th goal of the season as Trelleborgs battle to a narrow comeback victory against Utsiktens BK.

Ogwuche’s first assist came in the second half of the game to stage his team comeback, after being 2-0 down.

He went on to turn provider yet again for Offia who scored to make it 2-2 before Trelleborgs managed to seal the away league win with a late goal in the game.

Tolu Arokodare, another Nigeria player who hit the headlines after coming off the bench to score in KRC Genk’s entertaining draw in Belgian Pro League.

The 22-year-old forward scored a second half goal in Genk 6-goal thriller with STVV at the Cegeka Arena.

While in Czech First League, Rafiu Durosinmi displayed a man-of-the-match performance with two goals and an assist in Viktoria Plzen’s big home win.

With 5 goals and 4 assists under his belt in 8 matches, Durosinmi did not disappoint the home fans as his brace propelled Viktoria Plzen to a 6-2 win over FK Pardubice at the Doosan Arena.

Meanwhile, at the other end, Tyronne Ebuehi featured as Empoli fell to a narrow Serie A defeat at home against Inter.

The Nigerian defender played the full 90 minutes, but could not prevent his side from slipping to a 3-2 defeat.
