Niger Tornadoes’ head coach, Hamza Abarah, is gearing up for a challenging encounter against Doma United in an upcoming NPFL fixture this weekend.
The clash, set to take place at Pantami Stadium in Gombe, has drawn attention due to the formidable form of the home team.
Coach Hamza openly acknowledges the daunting task ahead, highlighting Doma United’s current dominance in the Nigerian League.
Well, after watching their performance against Remo Stars, where they held the Sky Blue Stars to a goalless draw last weekend, any NPFL coach will surely have the same feeling and be scared to face this difficult Doma side.
Doma United are currently unbeaten in their last six league games, with their goalkeeper, Osayi Kingdom, a hard nut to crack.
On the other end, the Tornadoes have had a poor run of games in their league campaign. They’ve only managed one win in six games, recording two goalless draws and three defeats.
Niger Tornadoes ended a five-game winless run with a 1-0 victory against Akwa United on Sunday.
Looking at these setbacks and plans to build on their recent victory, the Niger Tornadoes head coach has encouraged his players to brace up and be optimistic ahead of this tough league game on the road.
The coach expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure a good result against the Savannah Tigers in the game.
“Our next game is against Doma United, who are in top form; you can see their position on the log. They are a very difficult team to beat, but not impossible,” he told Tornadoes media.
The Minna-based club occupy 17th position on the NPFL table with 11 points and will be hoping to escape the relegation zone at the end of this week.
