Kwara United coach Kabiru Dogo has expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance against Enugu Rangers, despite the NPFL game ending in a 1-1 draw.
Dogo, who believes his team is improving and deserved to win the game, expressed admiration for his team’s unexpected strength against the Flying Antelopes.
The Harmony Warriors coach, who spoke to the media after the game also believes that Enugu Rangers were lucky to get a draw.
Coach Dogo also praised Alao Mohammed, who scored the equalizer, and mentioned that their young team is steadily improving as the season progresses.
However, he urged fans to remain patient with the team, emphasizing the potential for further growth in the future.
“Rangers were very lucky getting the draw. They didn’t deserve it. That’s football for you. My team is improving game by game. They are a bunch of young players, and with patience, they will keep improving,” he said.
Meanwhile, his counterpart at Rangers, Fidelis llechukwu acknowledged that his side had a slow start in the first half, but the second half showcased their true potential.
But then, the 1-1 draw felt like a win to him, given their second-half performance.
Moving forward, Kwara United will be gearing up for an important match against Bayelsa United this weekend, aiming to secure another valuable point, while Enugu Rangers will be hosting Kano Pillars.
