Enyimba head coach, Finidi George has placed his confidence on his players, believing they have all it takes to seal a place in the semi-final of the African Football League ahead of Wydad Athletic Club.
The NPFL champions will be battling with the Adil Ramzi’s side in the second round of their quarter-final clash at the Mohamed V Stadium, Casablanca later today.
The coach of the Peoples’ Elephant, who revealed that he has a very young team aspiring for greatness during his press conference, also noted that they have enough time to prepare and stun their host in front of their home fans.
Nevertheless, having given Wydad a 1-0 lead in the first leg in Uyo last weekend, the Nigerian club will currently be starting this game at a disadvantage.
But then, Finidi strongly believes his side can still turn things around and achieve qualification.
The former Nigerian international asserted that all of his players needed to play at their best for them to be able to upset Wydad in Casablanca and accomplish their goal.
“If the match was today, I would have been concerned about not getting enough rest, but the match is tomorrow, and we have a good amount of time to prepare for it,” he said.
The coach added that;
“We have a young team, but all the players have dreams and we are here to achieve qualification. This will happen if all the players deliver a good performance.”
