Kwara United has surged ahead in the race to re-sign the sensational 20-year-old midfielder, Abdulraheem Shola, from Niger Tornadoes.
Shola previously graced Kwara United’s ranks in 2019, only to depart for Wikki Tourists ahead of the 2023 season.
Later, during the mid-season transfer window of 2023, he donned the colors of Niger Tornadoes on a short-term deal.
With Wikki Tourists facing relegation last season and Kwara United narrowly escaping a similar fate, both teams are now determined to clinch Shola’s signature to bolster their performance in the upcoming season.
The versatile player’s abilities span across various midfield positions, making him an invaluable asset, be it as an Attacking Midfielder, Central Midfielder, or Left Winger.
While reports indicate interest from other NPFL teams, Kwara United seems to have the edge, thanks to their strong rapport with Shola.
The eagerly awaited official announcement of the deal is expected later this week.
Brace yourselves for a thrilling season ahead as Shola is also keen for a return to Kwara United on their NPFL journey.
Good move for Shola, he didn’t have enough game time at Niger Tornadoes… Its better to be where you are highly needed and treated like a king
