Rovers FC’s rising star, Usenidara Imah, radiates confidence as his team gears up to face Dakkada FC in the Nigeria National League (NNL) at the Uyo Township Stadium this weekend.
Imah, a native of Akwa Ibom, made a significant impact in his debut against Smart City FC on matchday three, adding depth to the team’s forward line.
Their recent NNL encounter against Smart City FC ended with a crucial victory for the Pride of Cross River, securing a vital three points thanks to Omolabi Owolabi’s penalty.
With two wins out of three matches, the Samson Unuanel-led side aims to sustain their winning streak against the formidable Lone Stars in what promises to be an enthralling clash.
Highlighting the team’s recent performance, Imah stated,
“I’m confident we are going to get the maximum three points away at Uyo against Dakkada FC this weekend,” the forward said.
The upcoming match holds significance as Calabar’s squad, boasting a solid goalkeeper in the form of 17-year-old Clinton Ezekiel, anticipates another stellar defensive display.
Ezekiel has already garnered two clean sheets this NNL season and will be hoping to stop their hosts from hitting this net as well.
Currently in third place on the Conference A table of the Nigeria National League, a win against Dakkada will see the youthful Calabar side move up the ladder and put their campaign in solid shapeshape.
