Ex-NPFL star Imade Osarenkhoe has continued life in the United Arab Emirates Division 1 with yet another goal for Dubai United in their narrow defeat to league leaders Al Urooba.
The former Bendel Insurance star produced his second goal of the season but couldn’t help but watch his side succumb to a narrow defeat on Friday evening.
The 22-year-old forward found the back of the net late in the second period of the game as Dubai United fell to a 1-2 defeat at the Al Orooba Club/MS2.
Mohamed Khalfan gave the visitors an early lead, barely eight minutes into the game, and the first half ended that way.
Al Urooba continued to display their dominance in the second half, and barely twenty-three minutes in, Mali youngster Alhassane Tamboura doubled their lead.
It took the Black Bullet 85 minutes into the game to grab one back for the hosts, but it could only serve as a consolation goal, something for the home fans to cheer about.
Despite his late goal, Imade couldn’t rescue his team from a narrow defeat, as United FC lost by a slim margin in the three-goal thriller.
With the defeat, Imade Osarenkhoe and his teammates at Dubai United move down to 8th place on the log with 11 points, while the league leaders, Al Urooba, remain 14 points clear.
Looking ahead, Imade Osarenkhoe will be hoping to build on his scoring spree when Dubai United hosts Gulf United on Friday, while Al Urooba will be tackling Al Taawon on Thursday.
