Nigerian forward Godwin Aguda was on target for Falkenbergs as they earned a hard-fought draw in the first leg of the Swedish Superettan promotion playoffs.
The 25-year-old Nigerian player found the back of the net to help his side bounce back from behind twice to seal off a 2-2 draw during the Superettan qualification final first leg at the Falcon Alkoholfri Arena.
His compatriot, Yusuff Abdulazeez, also scored against Godwin Aguda’s side in their promotion playoffs 1st leg to the AllsvenskanSE.
After a closely contested opening few minutes, Yusuff Abdulazeez fired the visiting team head just 15 minutes into the game.
And just before the interval, Godwin Aguda levelled the scores for the home team heading into the first half break.
Both sides resumed the second period of the game with more tenacity, but the visitors still managed to gain the lead yet again in the 78th minute through Isak Vidjeskog.
But the home team kept their spirit alive and continued to fight on until the 97th minute, when the hosts pulled themselves back into the game yet again through Oliver Hintsa, and the scores ended that way.
Godwin Aguda and his teammates fought head-to-head for the 2-2 draw heading into the second leg of the clash.
Aguda has now recorded 15 goals in 31 appearances for the Falkenbergs, and that’s three more than what he produced in their last campaign.
Both teams will now prepare for the final showdown at the Södermalms IP, Skövde, on Sunday.
