Swansea Manager Backs Iheanacho and Ndidi to Lead Leicester City back to Premier League

Swansea City’s manager, Michael Duff, is boldly predicting that Leicester City’s dynamic Super Eagles duo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, will clinch the Championship title and secure promotion to the Premier League.

Duff firmly believes that the Foxes have assembled a stronger squad this year compared to last season’s runaway champions, Burnley.

As Swansea prepares to face Leicester at the Swansea.com Stadium this Saturday, they are eyeing their fifth consecutive league victory.

However, Duff acknowledges that going up against Leicester, who have won 10 out of their 11 league games this season, could pose their toughest challenge this season.

Duff, the 45-year-old Swansea boss, expressed his confidence in Leicester’s abilities, stating,

I think they will win the league. I think they are better than Burnley last year, which probably tells you everything.”

Leicester currently leads the Championship, boasting an impressive record of 23 goals scored and only six conceded so far in this season.

They have retained much of the squad that faced relegation from the Premier League last year.

Duff emphasizes the need for Swansea to be prepared for a challenging match. He stated,

We will have to suffer without the ball at times because they are a very good team, but what we don’t want to do is just sit in a block of 10 men behind the ball and hope to survive for 95 minutes.”

He further added,

I think we have proved in the last few weeks that we can play and that we can defend. We will have to be at our best, no doubt about it, but there’s no apprehension. We will go out intent on trying to win the game.”

Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, both part of the Super Eagles, have displayed stunning performances for Leicester this season.

Iheanacho has already been involved in five goals in 11 appearances, while Ndidi has contributed four goals in their pursuit of Championship glory and a potential return to the Premier League.
