Sochima revealed that the team’s mentality is to clinch victory in their upcoming CAF Cup fixture, highlighting their high spirits and unrelenting commitment to success.
“We’re all ready and prepared, working tirelessly to execute our game plan this Sunday,” Victor told the team media.
Reflecting on their last meeting in Yamoussoukro, Sochima shared Coach Eguma’s guidance, emphasizing the need to build on their past performance.
“Our coach has told us not to relent on the result we got there; it’s going to be a different ball game here [in Port Harcourt]. So we’ll do everything to win,” he said.
Rivers United secured a goalless draw in the first leg against Etoile Filante de Quagadougou, and the team is eager to claim victory on home turf, advancing in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Sochima admitted that the team has a passionate fan base in River State, assuring them of a remarkable performance on Sunday.
“We have passionate fans here in River State and all of them believe in Rivers United as a club. Come Sunday, they want us to play good football and win, I think we are capable of presenting such to them,” he noted.
However, Sochima Victor stressed the continued support of their devoted Rivers State fans, who had already experienced the joy of cup glory.
Fans of the Pride of Rivers can anticipate an intense battle at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, where the Port Harcourt outfit aims to make them proud.
