VICTOR OSIMHEN RECORD BREAKING HATTRICK
Victor Osimhen took his brilliant form to another level since his return from injury as Napoli ran riot over Sassuolo in their match day 12 fixture in the Italian Serie A. The Super Eagles and Napoli marksman scored a well taken hat trick in a 4-0 win as they strengthen their grip on top of the log. He scored twice in the first 19 minutes and dinked in his third 13 minutes from time to make it seven league goals this season, taking him joint top of the goal scorers chart despite missing a handful of games due to injury.
Victor Osimhen’s hattrick was record breaking as he became the first Nigerian to score three goals in a Serie A match. He also overtook Simy Nwankwo as the highest scoring Nigerian in the Italian top flight as his goals in the league since he came to Italy now stands at 31.

“I would like to congratulate all of my team-mates. They’re top players and the whole squad is blessed with quality,” Osimhen told the club website. “I’d also like to thank the coach for the faith he’s shown in me and I’m keen to keep this up, both individually and collectively. “Every time I score I dedicate my goal to my daughter. This hat-trick is for her.”
PETER OLAYINKA HITS BRACE
Peter Olayinka’s brace and an assist helped Slavia Praha to a huge 1-4 away win in the Fortuna Liga. The win takes them closer to Viktoria Plzen in the league standings as they solidify their second position on the log. Fresh from netting his first derby goal in the Prague derby the previous week, Olayinka opened the scoring for Slavia in the 3rd minute to level the score after they trail briefly conceding an early goal. The Super eagles forward then won a penalty for his side as they went ahead from the spot just on the half hour mark. ADEMOLA LOOKMAN CONTINUES TO SOAR
Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman scored the winning goal for Atalanta in their 1-0 victory over Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani. After falling 2-0 at home to Lazio last week, Atalanta were looking to get back to winning ways to maintain a close distance to table toppers Napoli. It was Lookman who showed his ability in the 59th minute as he got into a good position after a great individual run and produced a right footed shot that pierced into the bottom left corner of the Empoli goal.

The team’s display has left Gasperini a delighted man but more importantly he preserved words of praise for the Super Eagle, who has been one of his star players since arriving from RB Leipzig on a permanent deal at the start of the season. “Lookman has scored five goals and always gave a strong contribution to the team,” he told Sky Italia after the game. He has technique, pace, is a player any coach would be happy with. We realised pretty quickly what he was capable of, he was convincing from the start.”

Ademola Lookman is Atalanta’s top scorer in the league this season having scored five goals coupled with an assist. They host Victor Osimhen and Napoli next in a top of the table clash next weekend.
