The Enugu Rangers are making a serious statement of intent for the 2023–2024 NPFL season after making six new signings to strengthen their squad.
Ahead of the February 14th restart, the Flying Antelopes have secured the signatures of six exciting new players, bolstering their squad and igniting their title dreams.
The Acquisitions Include:
Defensive Rock: Uchenna Ezeala, a central defender from 3SC, adds solidity to the backline.
Goalscoring Prowess: Zulkifilu Mohammed Rabiu, a support striker formerly of Lobi Stars, brings firepower upfront.
Versatile Attacker: Odo Joshua Chidiebere, a centre forward with experience in the Saudi Arabian league, offers options across the front line.
Midfield Mastery: Ogbodo Kelechi Emmanuel, a versatile midfielder from Disdeft Football Academy, adds depth and control to the engine room.
Attacking Flair: Aniji Ifeanyichukwu Michael, an attacking midfielder from Flying Angels F.C., injects creativity and flair into the attack.
Speedy Winger: Nebo Tochukwu Kingsley, a left-winger from Olicon Rovers F.C, adds pace and trickery down the flank.
These new signings fill the void left by departures like Joel Okoro, Leonard Ugochukwu, and Malachi Ohawume, while offering exciting prospects for the future.

Rangers CEO, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, described the new players as quality legs that would help the coaching crew get the right mix to challenge for honours in both the league and federation cup.
Amobi expressed satisfaction with the completed deals, which he believed would provide ample opportunities for the coaches to select players capable of challenging for honours throughout the season and in the future.
He explained that the club had targeted both experienced and young players, and he confidently stated his belief that they would perform well when needed.
Meanwhile, Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu expressed confidence in his team’s ability to compete for trophies this season, attributing their success to a strategic blend of youth and experience.
He acknowledged the anticipated challenges in the second half of the season but emphasised the commitment of players to achieving their set goals.
