Adams Olamilekan on Thursday afternoon inspired his team, Remo Stars, to a crucial victory over Lobi Stars during their Nigeria Premier Football League game.
The 19-year-old forward provided the opening goal late in the game and went ahead to score as the Sky Blue Stars secured a late 2-0 win over their visitors.
Sikiru Alimi and Adams Olamilekan scored in stoppage time as the Remo Stars defeated the Lobi Stars in Ikenne.
The visitors held their hosts hostage until the 68th minute, when coach Daniel Ogunmodede introduced the right-winger.
Just 22 minutes after settling into the game, Adams Olamilekan’s beautiful cross set up Sikiru Alimi to head home and break the deadlock for Remo Stars.
Two minutes later, the youngster went on to register his name on the scoresheet as well, doubling the lead for the home team as his goal sealed the win and all three points.
With the victory, Remo Stars have now reclaimed the top spot on the log with 29 points, just one point ahead of second-placed Doma United.
They will be visiting Heartland FC next Thursday with huge momentum, hoping to continue to build on their victory.
