This remarkable performance was a fresh start for the 29-year-old forward, who recently transferred to Trabzonspor on a season-long loan from Championship side Southampton, where his six-month stint had been less fruitful.
Coach Nenad Bjelica handed Onuachu his first opportunity to shine in the starting lineup, and he seized it with a stunning goal just before the half-hour mark.
Trabzonspor midfielder Anastasios Bakasetas further solidified the lead for his side with a goal just four minutes before halftime.
The onslaught continued as Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder Edin Visca scored in the early minutes of the second half, securing a comfortable 3-0 win for the Black Sea Storm.
However, there was a slight concern as Onuachu was substituted at halftime for Turkish forward Enis Destan. It remains uncertain whether this substitution was due to injury or tactical adjustments.
This victory propelled Trabzonspor to the fifth position in the league standings, accumulating a total of nine points from their first five matches.
Recall that Onuachu had an incredible life in Belgium with KRC Genk, scoring over 85 goals in 134 appearances over his four years stint before his move to the Premier League in January.
