Super Falcons’ star, Asisat Oshoala, bagged a brace on Saturday afternoon when FC Barcelona Femeni secured a resounding home victory in their Primera División match against Granada.
The Nigerian sensation delivered a stellar performance, scoring two late goals that sealed a commanding win for the home team.
Despite goals from Patricia Guijarro, Ona Batlle, Salma Ayingono, and Mariona Caldentey, the 29-year-old Nigerian forward found the target twice in just two minutes, securing a convincing 6-1 victory for the Spanish giants.
Barcelona wasted no time and opened the scoring just six minutes into the game through Patricia. Ona Batlle added a second 16 minutes before halftime.
The second half brought continued celebration for the home fans, with Salma Ayingono extending the lead to 3-0, and Mariona Caldentey scoring seven minutes later.
Asisat Oshoala left her mark by joining the scoring spree, netting her goals in the 80th and 82nd minutes to complete the rout.
Although Pérez Martín scored a late consolation goal for Granada, the damage had already been done by the home team.
Looking ahead, the red-hot Asisat Oshoala and her FC Barcelona Femeni team will aim to maintain their winning momentum with a visit to Sevilla on November 5th at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
While she hasn’t recorded any assists yet, Asisat Oshoala has already tallied three goals in just five appearances for FC Barcelona Femeni.
